3. Eligibility for Concessionary Levy

  • GIRO (General Interbank Recurring Order) — Automatic monthly deduction from the employer’s bank account.
  • PayNow QR — A quick and convenient method for making digital payments.

b. Payment Deadline

  • The levy is due by the 17th of the following month.
  • If the 17th falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment must be made on the next working day.

c. Penalty for Late Payment

Employers who fail to pay the levy on time will face the following consequences:

  • A late payment fee of 2% per month or $20, whichever is higher.
  • Possible revocation of the maid’s Work Permit, requiring her repatriation.
  • Legal penalties or restrictions on hiring a new maid.

5. Important Notes for Employers
